Myrtle & Mary Design House
Vintage Re-Imagined with a Maximalist Twist

Myrtle & Mary Design House is the storefront for designer Carrie Neely, producing made-to-order wallpaper, fashion and homeware built from original pattern design, alongside standalone art prints that stand outside the repeat. Named after her two grandmothers, the collection is deliberately expressive and joyful, built from bold, dopamine-bright colour and maximalist pattern designed to lift a room and tell a story at the same time. Every design begins as a single piece of artwork, whether it is developed into a pattern or kept as a print in its own right.

Neely holds a BA Hons in Illustration from the Belfast School of Art and taught herself pattern design afterwards. She spent her early career in the art world, managing galleries in London and New York, before founding Art Loves, her consultancy for hotel and commercial interiors — experience she credits with shaping how she builds a cohesive collection from a single piece of artwork.

Made, Not Mass-Produced

Every piece begins as vintage imagery combined with hand-drawn detail and colour, layered up to tell its own story. Some designs are developed into a seamless repeat and move between wallpaper, fashion and homeware; others are released as standalone art prints, kept whole rather than turned into a pattern. Everything is printed and made to order in the UK, with no stock held and nothing produced until it is needed, and patterns are also available for trade and hospitality projects, with background colours matched to any RAL shade on request.

Neely's pattern archive is also licensed through Carrie Neely Design www.carrieneely.co.uk, sold through Aspinal of London, Harrods, Selfridges, Next, John Lewis, Barnes & Noble, Dunelm and East End Prints, alongside a 22-design fabric and curtain collection launched with Terrys Fabrics in August 2025 — described by the retailer as a natural evolution of her lifelong passion for textiles, bringing together artistry and design in a vibrant collection. Myrtle & Mary is where every pattern starts, in colour, in artwork, and in its own world.
